My whole life I have loved Sci-Fi. But as an early teen girl I saw the infamous film “Barbarella” (1968) starring the iconic Jane Fonda, and it changed me. The story of a woman on an intergalactic journey, facing her repressed inner-self, an Evil Queen who uses her innocence as a tactic for personal gain, then a final battle where Barbarella is scrutinized and tortured for enjoying the discoveries of her own sexuality.
As a woman who has struggled with being comfortable in her own self and sexuality, I found a hero in Barbarella.
And becoming the woman I am today, I decided that it was time to bring forth a new representative of Barbarella and her mission. I would like to introduce the next Dominatrix of the galaxy…
